i was going to create this but we should. Disconnected is the name these are the script for ep 1

DISCONNECTED

EXT. STANDOFF - DAYTIME

Two characters walk toward a bunker, chatting with each
other. They are Mike and Bob.

BOB
So, what are we doing here?

MIKE
Command wants us to reacivate this
station.

BOB
Why? This thing's been abandoned
for fifity years.

MIKE
I don't know. I've heard they need
another communications facility.

BOB
For what?

MIKE
I don't know. I've heard that
lately they've been having trouble
with data spikes eating their CPU
cycles in high traffic areas.

BOB
What? That doesn't make any sense.

MIKE
That's what I've heard.

INT. BASE

Bob and Mike walk through several rooms before coming to
some equipment.

BOB
You know what I've heard?

MIKE
What's that?

BOB
I was talking to Jacob before
coming here and he told me about a
friend of his.

Mike gets to work, tinkering below a some consoles.

BOB
He said that he went to talk to a
friend of his one day, not too long
ago, and she had lost her mind.

MIKE
Lost her mind?

BOB
His words. He said that he got a
call from a mutual friend who asked
him to come see her, since he's a
doctor. When he got there the only
thing she kept going on about was
how everything is all fake and
there's a "real world" where she
lives.

MIKE
The real world?

BOB
That's what she said. She kept
telling him that she was playing a
video game when she suddenly
disconnected from something called
xbox live and she found herself
here.

Mike stands up, done working.

MIKE
Okay, that should do it.

They watch as the monitors display data. Numbers and images
meaningless to us cross the screens.

BOB
How cool would that be, though?

MIKE
To be stuck in another universe or
parallel dimension or something?

BOB
No, to be able to transport
yourself into a game. To actually
feel like you're there, but be able
to, well, disconnect, at any time
and wake up safely in your home or
wherever you were.

MIKE
That would be kinda awesome. But
that's not what's happening.

BOB
Jacob says there's been more of
these incidents. All of them saying
pretty much the same thing.

Mike looks at Bob.

MIKE
Want to know what I think?

BOB
Sure.

MIKE
Jacob's bullshitting you. Today's
Halloween and he's just trying to
scare you.

Mike looks back at the screen.

BOB
What?

MIKE
Data spike.

BOB
Just like what's happening other
places?

MIKE
No.

BOB
No?

MIKE
No. Data spikes are fairly common,
actually. One spike every now and
then doesn't mean anything.

Bob turns toward the exit, as if he hears something.

BOB
Did you hear that?

Mike looks around.

MIKE
No.

BOB
I thought I heard something
outside.

MIKE
Go check on it then. I have to wait
here to make sure everything's
running right.

Bob turns and leaves.

EXT. STANDOFF - DAYTIME

Bob exits the bunker and looks around. A little distance
away he sees a man looking around. Bob turns back to the
bunker and shouts down the ramp to Mike.

BOB
Hey, there's a man out here.

MIKE
So?

BOB
He kinda looks like the Captain's
gofer. That Fitz guy. Fitzsimmons,
or whatever his name is.

MIKE
Then I guess you better go find out
what he wants.

Bob walks over to Fitz.

BOB
Hey, Fitz.

Fitz looks around as if Bob should be talking to someone
else before realizing that Bob is talking to him.

BOB
Yeah, I'm talking to you.

Fitz looks like he has no idea what's going on.

BOB
You alright? You looks like you're
under the weather.

FITZ
No, I'm not alright. I think I've
been disconnected. I don't know how
to get back.

Bob just looks at Fitz for a second.

BOB
Disconn- Oh, I get it. Jacob put
you up to it.

FITZ
Who?

BOB
Don't play dumb.

FITZ
What? I'm not playing dumb.

BOB
I should have guessed he would do
something like this.

FITZ
Like what? What are you talking
about?

BOB
How long are you going to carry on
this charade?

FITZ
I don't know what you're talking
about! One minute I'm playing Halo
on Xbox Live, the next I'm
disconnected and stuck here! And
all I know, what I feel in my
bones, is I have to get
reconnected. Find a way to get back
to the real world. Something.

Bob says nothing for a second. He's taken aback at what Fitz
said. When he speaks it's in a calm neutral voice.

BOB
Okay, Fitz, let's go inside.

FITZ
My name's not Fitz.

BOB
What is it then?

AARON
It's Aaron.

BOB
Okay, Aaron. Let's go inside. I
want you to tell my friend Mike
everything you told me.

Aaron follows Bob inside.

INT. BASE - SEVERAL MINUTES LATER

MIKE
And you have no idea what happened?

AARON
No idea. As I was telling -

BOB
Bob.

AARON
Bob here, the only thing I really
know is I need to get reconnected.

MIKE
To find a way back to the real
world.

AARON
Yes.

MIKE
Bob, can I talk to you for a
second?

Bob and Mike go into another room.

MIKE
What are you doing?

BOB
What do you mean?

MIKE
Why are you humoring him?

BOB
I'm not.

MIKE
I thought you said he was Fitz.

BOB
That's what I thought. I've never
actually seen the guy, though.

Mike takes a few seconds to think.

BOB
What are we going to do?

MIKE
Either he's telling the truth and
we need to help him as much as we
can, or he's gone batty and we need
to get him to a psych ward. Either
way I think the best person for him
to see at the moment is Jacob.

BOB
He is the one after all that knows
something about this. But we are
going to help him, right?

MIKE
As much as we can for now.

Aaron runs into the room.

AARON
Thanks, guys!

MIKE
Were you eavsdropping?

AARON
No, I have good hearing.

MIKE
But you heard everything we said?

AARON
Yes.

MIKE
Good. There's no need to repeat it
to you, then. Are you two ready to
leave?

BOB AND AARON
Yes!

MIKE
Then let's get back to the ship.

The three of them leave the base.

DISCONNECTED

EP2: WAYWARD TRAVELERS

INT. ROOM

Mike, Bob, and Aaron meet Jacob.

BOB
Hey, Doc.

Jacob looks at Aaron.

JACOB
This him?

BOB
Yep, this is him.

JACOB
You say you've been disconnected?

AARON
That's right. From xbox live.

JACOB
Well, I can try to put you in touch
with Anna.

BOB
Wait. What do you mean try?

JACOB
It seems Anna was a survivalist in
the real world. When I tried to
take her to the institution she
knocked me out and escaped.

BOB
Like a mental institution?

JACOB
Where else do you put a crazy
person?

AARON
She obviously wasn't crazy.

JACOB
And I obviously wouldn't have known
that back then. At any rate, she
contacted me several weeks later.
She said she had found an abandoned
outpost where she could work from
and gave me the contact info. I
took the liberty of contacting her
while you were en route here and
she said she'd like to meet with
you.

BOB
Great. When and where?

JACOB
After I get through here, in fact.
I've got something going in the
next room and as soon as I'm done
there I'll take you to meet her.

MIKE
You're going too?

JACOB
Well, she made me promise that I'd
take you. She doesn't want too many
people knowing where she is. So, as
soon as I'm done I'll let you know.

Jacob walks out of the room.

AARON
What is it you two do?

BOB
We're supersoldiers.

MIKE
We belch toxic gas and shoot super
powerful bullets from our fingers.

The three of them look at each other for a second.

MIKE
Actually, we're communications
technicians.

BOB
We travel about and help
troubleshoot communication
problems.

AARON
What were you doing down there?

BOB
Reactivating a communications
facility.

MIKE
Apparently the UNSC has been having
problems lately with increased data
traffic on their network.

AARON
Huh?

BOB
Well, whenever orders are sent from
command to, let's say, our ship, it
first has to go through a facility
designed for sending that
information long distances.

AARON
Oh, I see. It has to amp it up. Put
power behind it to get it out
there.

BOB
More or less. All it really has to
do is get it to the next station.
There are thousands of stations all
over the place that relay the
communications to the proper place.

AARON
Doesn't all that relaying cause a
delay in the communications?

MIKE
Well we haven't quite cracked the
secret of subspace communications,
so this is all we got.

AARON
So it's basically snail email.

MIKE
Something like that.

AARON
So in theory your facilities should
be able to handle all the
communications. But for some reason
there's an exorbitant ammount of
information being sent through the
network.

MIKE
Especially in high traffic areas.
And temporary overloads we call
data spikes, common even at the
quietest of times, are occuring too
frequenttly now. So we're
reactivating facilities to allow
low priority traffic communication
access outside of high traffic
areas.

AARON
It's own dedicated line of
communication.

MIKE
Exactly.

AARON
Does anyone have an idea as to why
it's happening?

MIKE
Officially, no.

BOB
Everybody has their own personal
ideas, though. Most of them stupid.

Jacob steps into the room.

JACOB
Okay guys, ready to go?

EXT. SANDTRAP - DAY

The four men are standing in the middle of a desert next to
the crashed Phantom. Not too far away are ruins of somekind.

BOB
Nice parking job.

JACOB
Any crash you can walk away from.
Besides, it'll still fly.

The four walk toward the ruins. As they get closer Anna
comes out, a gun aimed at them.

JACOB
Hello Anna.

ANNA
Hello Jacob. Who's with you?

JACOB
These two are Mike and Bob. They're
friends of mine. And this is Aaron.

Anna looks them over.

ANNA
Where are you from? In the real
world?

AARON
The United States.

ANNA
What city and state?

AARON
Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Anna lowers the gun.

ANNA
Come in. It's a little cooler in
the shade.

The four follow her into the ruins.

INT. RUINS

Anna leads them down a corridor toward a chamber.

ANNA
I'm sure you've already been asked
this, but what do you remember?

AARON
Nothing, really. I remember playing
Halo on xbox live and the next I
was standing in the middle of
nowhere. The only thing that came
to mind was "I've been disconnected
from xbox live." And, as I've told
them, I seem to have this base
instinct for wanting to get back to
the real world.

ANNA
Hmm. That's like my experience. And
like the others.

AARON
Others?

ANNA
Oh yes. I've managed to find almost
a dozen. Several have been here
almost a year.

AARON
A year!

ANNA
Some have even adapted to life
here.

AARON
Any idea if anyone has ever found a
way out?

ANNA
If anyone has I haven't found out
about it yet. So far the best I've
been able to do is procure an
abandoned base for other
disconnected people to live in,
where I can help them adjust.
There's a large underground, and
fairly well hidden, bunker and we
keep it well stocked. If you want,
I'll take you to see it?

Aaron looks at Bob, Mike, and Jacob.

BOB
You're welcome to stay with us.

MIKE
We do have jobs to do, but we'll
help you any way we can.

BOB
Even if it means teaching you how
to become a communications
technician.

ANNA
Did you just communications
technician?

BOB
Yes. Why?

ANNA
What is it you do?

BOB
Anything related to fixing
communications problems. From
activating and deactivating
facilities and systems to data
processing.

ANNA
Data processing. If I gave you a
copy of some data I intercepted, do
you think you could take a look at
it for me? Maybe break it down and
see who sent it and where it was
supposed to go?

Bob looks at Mike.

MIKE
I think we can. Why?

ANNA
Am I wrong in assuming you guys are
dealing with burst data problems?

MIKE
Burst data?

ANNA
Um, I believe you call them data
spikes.

MIKE
As a matter of fact we are. We just
got through reactivating a facility
to process and relay data.

ANNA
And you had a data spike just
before Aaron appeared, right?

BOB
Yeah. There was a data spike and
then I thought I heard something
outside, so I went out and that's
when I found Aaron. At first I
thought he was Fitx, a gofer for
our captain, but I was wrong.

ANNA
Actually, you might have been
right.

BOB
Huh?

ANNA
Alright, here's my theory so far.
Whenever someone becomes
disconnected there's a correlating
data spike. Not all data spikes
mean someone's been disconnected,
but when someone is disconnected,
there's a data spike which happens
right before it. It's as if that
spike carries the consciousness of
the person from the real world to
here and transplants them into an
already existing host. Aaron, for
example, got Fitz body.

Bob leans to Aaron.

BOB
Sorry, dude, you just got unlucky.

ANNA
I was unfortunate enough to fall
into the body of Jacob's friend.

JACOB
Natalia.

ANNA
Natalia. Which brings up the
question: What happens to the host?
And in answer, I don't know.

For a moment, nobody speaks.

ANNA
So, you two help us?

BOB
Damn right we will!

MIKE
Any way we can.

ANNA
Thank you! So, Aaron, want to go
see the base?

Again Aaron looks to Bob and Mike.

BOB
Oh go on.

MIKE
We can always meet later.

BOB
Just don't forget to send us a
snail email from time to time.

AARON
Haha, sure. Okay, I'll go.

ANNA
My shuttle is this way.

She turns to Bob and Mike.

ANNA
I'll get your info from Jacob later
and send you some data. I have some
spikes recorded.

MIKE
Hoping to find some real world
server info in them?

ANNA
That would be nice. But anything we
learn is more than we already know.

Again they look at each other for a second.

ANNA
See you around.

Mike just nods.

BOB
Take it easy.

JACOB
Be careful.

Anna walks away, leading Aaron. Mike, Bob, and Jacob turn
and start walking back to their Phantom.

Wow. I really like this idea, it's original and well thought out. I vote we do this machinima, I will definently help with this. Shotgun being Bob XD

yer i wrote it for me and a couple friends but we never got around to doing it heres the poster

I've written out (by hand) an entire series that me and some friends were supposed to do. But obviously we haven't. Mine was a full comedy with a fair bit of action. I'm guessing yours is an action/drama?

took me a while to read this... when u say too the ship do u go to orbital or something?

idk 1 of my friends changed it to ship i originally had warthog but maybe like u go to orbital idk

I think it's awesome, but I think ship should be changed to warthog, it'll make for easy recording.

I think a great room for scenes while there are disconnected is in one of the new map packs...where the map looks like sandtrap and is in space and has the empty space too (forgot the name). And be in that empty space but idk

I honestly think someone should edit it over with some comedic lines because i dont think people would keep watching just people talking unless the action parts are uber dramatic and well played out.

Your crazy! people controlling us... come
on that's just mad

BOB
Yeah, but still it could be like that

MIKE
No.

BOB
No?

MIKE
No. It cant be like that

Bob turns toward the exit, as if he hears something.

Did you hear that?

You alright? You looks like you're
under the weather.

CHUCK NORRIS
Aren't we always under the weather?

Bob just looks at Chuck for a second.

BOB
It was a expression

CHUCK NORRIS
Oh

BOB
Here, Come in the Bunker

CHUCK NORRIS
What? That's no bunker, that's my house!.

BOB
Oh... Well this is awkward, ill tell Mike to get
off your computer

CHUCK NORRIS
WHAT! HE'S ON MY COMPUTER? STOP HIM

Bob and Chuck Norris run towards the bunk...
err... house


INT. BASE

MIKE
Hey Bob, there seems to be 5GB of porn on
here!

BOB
Err... Mike, behind you

Mike turns around just as Chuck Norris's fist knocks him out cold

BOB
Chuck. Why is there 5GB of porn on your computer

CHUCK NORRIS
Umm... Its not mine, its a mate of mines.

BOB
Your mate downloaded 5GB of porn on your computer...
.
CHUCK NORRIS
Yes.

MIKE (waking up)
Bob, can I talk to you for a
second?

Bob and Mike go into another room.

MIKE
What are you doing?

BOB
What do you mean?

MIKE
You brought Chuck Norris here!

BOB
Its not my fault, this is his house.

MIKE
Oh.. wait what?

BOB
This is his house.

Mike takes a few seconds to think.

BOB
What are we going to do?

MIKE
Well we need to reactivate this bunker
or we're fired so we're going to have to
get Chuck Norris out somehow.

BOB
How are we going to do that?

MIKE
Ok, ill run in throwing grenades rapidly
while you sneak in and melee him.

Chuck Norris runs into the room.

CHUCK NORRIS
Hey what you doing in here?

MIKE
Nothing

CHUCK NORRIS
Doesn't seem like nothing.

MIKE
But you heard everything we said?

AARON
No, all I heard was rapid sneak.

MIKE
Good. Then you didn't hear our plot to
kill you and take your house as our bunker?

CHUCK NORRIS
No

MIKE
Then let's go over to this big cliff.

The three of them leave the base.
